The right option is dependent on future goals: Is the library for a full genome sequencing project? Are you seeking a few BAC clones of interest, or numerous targets? Will Bio S&T perfrom the arraying? Will Bio S&T perfrom the screening? Are filters required?   The following 3 options are available:   1. ARRAYED BAC LIBRARY (WITH CLONE PICK-UP) Coverage is guaranteed. Client will receive original library. Clones will be arrayed and amplified in 384-well plates (1 unique clone/well), and shipped on dry ice. Plates will be identified with bar-coded labels.  Amount of clones received is based on a guaranteed coverage and 120Kb average insert size. Filters available only with this option. QC by HMW DNA enzymatic digestion included. This service is on PROMOTION, please inquire! 2. NON-ARRAYED BAC LIBRARY (NO CLONE PICK-UP)  Coverage is guaranteed. Client will receive original library. BAC clone mixtures (transformed E. coli cells containing BAC DNA) are stored in glycerol and shipped on dry ice. An additional 5% of clones will be shipped at no extra charge to compensate for loss of titer during delivery. Amount of clones received is based on a guaranteed coverage and 120Kb average insert size. QC by HMW DNA enzymatic digestion included. This option is interesting if you plan to array and/or screen the library yourself. This service is on PROMOTION, please inquire! 3. BAC LIBRARY SCREENING Client will receive 2 positive clones in dry ice per target screened. Pooled BAC library is also included for a limited time! Clients who have when client has already constructed a BAC library with us.      Coverage is guaranteed. QC by HMW DNA enzymatic digestion included.This choice is very cost-efficient if you are seeking a few target clones that will contain your sequences of interest. Please note that we offer full BAC clone sequencing at a very competitive price. New in 2008 On December 19th 2008, Bio S&T will draw a name from all our 2008 BAC library clients and winner will be entitled to a $1,000 US credit to be used in 2009 towards any of our services. All BAC library cients will be automatically entered and winner will be contacted on January 5th 2009.   Bio S&T will donate 2% of proceeds from every BAC library sold in 2008 to benefit The Montreal Children's Hospital.
